Healing happens in the slow, quiet moments…
Healing doesn’t happen because you had a cathartic emotional release or because you eliminated gluten or because you learned to set a boundary (but I’m still applauding all of these choices!)
Every time you have chosen to change your lifestyle, there was a shift in your consciousness that preceded it. The shift in your consciousness affected your beliefs and you began to experience yourself differently, as someone who is worth cutting out gluten for, or setting a boundary for, etc.
While we attribute much of our healing to lifestyle change, there was a seed planted prior that was the real source of your healing. You may not have noticed because it happened in a slow, quiet moment of re-connection.
Healing happens when you slow down with a book, share a meal with friends/family, or engage in your favorite activities (creative endeavors, fitness, whatever you’re into!) By connecting with the true source of your healing, you’re free to relieve yourself of attachments to the practices that have gotten you to this point…and discover what will get you to the next place! It will probably be gentler and more loving than you think.
When you recognize that Life itself provides the circumstances for your evolution, there’s really nothing else for your to do, but live it.
