Craniosacral Therapy (CST) & Dynamic Body Balancing (DBB)
Craniosacral Therapy is a deeply relaxing, almost meditative experience of restoring balance to the rhythm of the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) as it’s produced & reabsorbed. Using only about 5 grams of pressure (less in babies), we’re able to promote proper movement of the cranial bones and nourishment of the central nervous system which is bathed in CSF.
Dynamic Body Balancing is a technique that allows patterns set deep into the fascial system to unwind. Until very recently fascia, or connective tissue, was considered “packing peanuts” and was ignored by anatomists. This is because it appears inert in the cadavers they were studying. We now know it’s incredibly dynamic in the living body (watch “strolling under the skin” on YouTube to see for yourself)!
Infants respond especially well to both CST & DBB, but we use these techniques with people of all ages and see incredible results! Less headaches, improved ability to respond to stress, a feeling of grounding and regulation, better posture, etc.
Yoga & Meditation
Dr. Hope’s signature yoga class, Yoga for Nervous System Health, is designed to powerfully reset the Nervous System, allowing for greater ease and adaptability on and off the yoga mat.
This class includes elements of the polyvagal theory incorporated into a slow and nurturing yoga flow. It also may include some dynamic breathwork and movement patterns from the Kundalini tradition that build resilience. Drawing on the worlds of modern Neuroscience and various ancient yogic lineages allows the body to receive the full spectrum of benefits.
